"Today we celebrated the feast of St Augustine, the patron saint of our school. Thank you to all those who joined us for this annual event. With this year being of such importance, both within the diocese and the state it was fitting to have a memento for the occasion. Two important things were unveiled and blessed by Fr Kevin; the beautiful hand crafted cross made by Rob, our groundsman, which will be seen by anyone entering our school grounds and the tubular bell which will be a sign of prayer within the school. The tubular bell will be rung each morning as we begin our day with the school prayer. The school cross was made from a piece of wood which belonged at the original school in Coolangatta so it has great meaning and connection to our past.” St. Augustine Parish Primary School Newsletter”
